Intro 2. Directory Structure 3. Installation 4. Some Notes 5. Credits 6. The End -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Intro -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for downloading this theme, I hope you will find it as useful as I do. I have included all used modules, and skins for the separate utlities I use, aswell as the utils. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Directory Structure -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- \ Configuration stuff Theme\BlueTwo\ All images used in this theme. Theme\BlueTwo\IconDock Image resources for the icondock shareware tool. Modules\ All modules used in this theme. Tools\ All standalone programs used. Waves\ All sounds used in this theme. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Installation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Back up your step.rc and modules.ini files. Do it and do it now! 2. Take the step.rc and modules.int files from this theme and place them in your darkstep dir ($DSDIR$). *NOTE* step1152.rc for 1152x864 Resolution step1024.rc for 1024x768 Resolution 3. Put the folder named "MODULES" in $DSDIR$\Modules Put the folder named "TOOLS" in $DSDIR$\Tools Put the folder named "WAVES" in $DSDIR$\Waves *NOTE* If you already have these modules and don`t want to overwrite them, Bob Wells also suggested in the post to rename them to include version number. (Just don`t forget to reflect this in your Darkstep configuration) 4. Put the contents of the folder named "Theme" in $DSDIR$\Theme 5. In this zip-package is a registry file named "BlueTwo.reg". Just double click on it to add to your registry. 6. Install the TTF font named "Dungeon". 7. Add a link (.lnk) for the tool sysmeter "$DSDIR$\Tools\SysMeter\Sysmeter.exe" and QuickNotes "$DSDIR$\Tools\Qnotes\QNotes.exe" (only in the 1152x864 resolution) to your auto startup folder. 7.Restart your computer :-( -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. Some Notes -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DarkStep I have change the quick launch bar a litle bit to switch between two bars. One for my recently used tools and the second for the main darkstep bangs. To switch between the two bars, click on the "START" image in front of the quick launch bar. Try it, maybe you like it! Icondock On the darkstep screenshot page you can see the icondock tool on the right side, it is not part of the theme. For download see the Credits section. If you like my icondock images, send me a eMail and I send you my icons. QNotes (only in the 1152x864 resolution) Because I don't use the date/time feature of QNotes I had place enough for 4 small shortcuts which exchange the "Notes.dat" file to handle multiple note contents, e.g. Dev-Notes, ToDo-List a.s.o. In the low resoulution theme was not enough place for QNotes, so if you will use the funny tool/trick copy the shortcuts from the big res step file and modify the positions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5.
