Here you will find themes, both orginally made specifically for DarkStep and those ported to DarkStep from other shell replacements. Feel free to download and adapt these themes for personal use on your system(s) :) Please note that these themes are *still* the intellectual property of their respective owner\designer, so its not a real good idea to post it\them elsewhere as your own creation(s) <g>! They have been posted here simply for your personal use and are not intended to be used as freely distributable “freeware” to be distributed without appropriate credit to the original artist... ******DarkOS by egarage!Here's the latest in egarage's Dark- series of themes; DarkOS :) This theme is designed for, and the download includes, DarkStep .971 and should be an easy installation. The package includes a readme text file that gives complete instructions for installation, .reg files for both Win98 *and* Win2K AND(!) comes complete with its own on-line tutorial that explains the step.rc in detail (requires Internet connection upon use)! Here's a couple of the comments that came in with the theme: “There is an eyecandy image that comes up when you show the custom buttons. It`s from a movie called "A Ghost in the Shell" A great anime movie I can`t beleive the shell community has`nt used more. The man behind the flick is Masamune Shirow. All the other images are my own.” And: “The twist with this theme is that there is a help button that will take you to a web site where every line of the step and all the GUI options for this theme are broken down and explained. The site is not complete but at least it`s a start for someone new to alternative shells.” Great job Shawn, and VERY nice documentation!  DOWNLOAD NOW! {902k}******MaceX-DS by MorpheusX!Well, I *finally* finished porting this theme over to DarkStep (after what, about six months?!?! <g>) This port is designed for, and the download includes, DarkStep .971 and should be an easy installation. The package includes a comprehensive installation guide, a few add-on applications, revised\new graphics and complete instructions for a matching color scheme {:-) While the port was completed entirely at a screen resolution of 1280x1024@24bit the theme should easily adapt to just about any resolution, though a couple of the graphics may need to be switched for more appropriately sized images (also included). The Corroded theme, while definately minmalist in appearance, is very nice and fully functional :) Corroded is designed for use with DarkStep .971+ and, therefore, includes the new .dcf file for importing settings via the DarkStep Console! Just right-click on the border of the Console, select “Import Settings...” then adjust your popup menu through the new Popup Configuration Panel (requires DSPopup 2.0 ß3) if warranted and you're good to go! Download and enjoy :) DOWNLOAD NOW! {685k}******First by IceKyoob :)Here's a new, and “first”, theme from IceKyoob This is our first submitted theme to include a .dcf file for importing the theme's settings directly from the DarkStep Console, allowing yet another glimpse into the “ease-of-use” direction that Fahim is working on with the shell :) Please note that the included .reg file {3.2meg!} will create its own key section (HKEY_USERS\DStep) into which it will create its own entries including a comprehensive set of Control Panel settings. You may want to take a look at this file *before* merging it into your registry! Check out the readme file :) DOWNLOAD NOW! {2.9meg}******BlueTwo by WilkWare :)By popular demand, based on the screenshot by the same name, Heiko has graced us with the full theme of BlueTwo! This is a very complete theme with many extras, which are included in the download :) Please keep in mind though that this theme is specifically designed for 1024x768 and (for the FULL functionality) 1280x1024 resolutions. Here he has produced another of his “everything but the kitchen sink” <he, he> themes which includes (among many other features!) a skin for SysMeter, a registry file (.reg) that you can just right-click on and select “Install” to have the themes' configuration automatically entered into the registry, 10 (count 'em, TEN!) user-configurable shortcuts (with detailed instructions:) and more {:-) Very nice job Shawn :) Check out the readme file :) DOWNLOAD NOW! {417k}******Eposure969 by eGarage :)Here's a brand new theme that has been designed specifically to go with not only the current, “stable” release {.960} but also includes instructions for installation with versions .969 and .970! DOWNLOAD NOW! {928k}******MacLiteOSX by Neo - Port by Bob Wells :)While there still may be some question (at least as I see it) of the use of variations of the Apple logo, Neo has done a pretty good job of bringing over the Mac OS X look! This is an easily adapted theme both in resolution and porting; it took hardly any effort to port over to a DarkStep-compatable format :) Now all we have to do is wait and see how long it takes the folks at Apple to jump on this site for making "their look" available for download <G> DOWNLOAD NOW! {539k} Neo is posting updates to this theme on his site and now has a revision for 1024 x 768 and has added LSRecycler to the "Special" menu item {:-) Go check it out or just grab it right here {590k}! ******Absolute-e Port by Azathoth :)The venerable Azathoth is at it again!
