24/1/2000 at 05:08

All thanx go to Travis Llewellyn(!) who has set us up a brand new home for the DarkStep.com, DarkStep.net, LiteStep.com and LiteStep.org domains!  This guy has put forth a tremendous effort and has a fresh server installation on a T1 for us.  So, you can ALL once again reach the DarkStep.com site at http://www.darkstep.com/ <WOOHOO!>

NEW!  Screenshot Du Jour {:-)
23/1/2000 at 08:24

I've added (finally!) a daily screenshot of my desktop to the "Links" section (to the left), mainly just to let folks see one perspective of what can be done with DarkStep and a variety of different modules.  The screenshot is taken with the help of the LSSureshot module (by snowchyld), then a full-sized .jpg *and* a 1\8th scale .gif is created and uploaded via Windows FTP client using a batch file.  All of this is thanx to the original idea put forth by Jorge at Modulo, which I have modified to make it a bit simpler to implement; all that is required is LSSureshot, dJPEG.exe and the batch file...  Hope some of you find this of interest in some way :)

HERE IT IS ! ! !

MacLite OS X by Russ Johnson (Neo)!
15/Jan/2000 at 08:12:16

After (or rather *during* <) the Great Debate of Y2KTM over the legalities of using the Apple "look" <VBG>, here's the highly contested theme with the WindowBlinds skin included that started all of the s**t!

Neo has a pretty good start (the theme is not quite completed yet) on porting the new Mac OS look over to LiteStep, and I have taken the liberty (with Neos permission) of porting *that* over to DarkStep :)  So head on over to the themes page, take a look, download and enjoy...
